At Bosena we believe filmmaking can be a Regenerative Cultural Practice, which means we approach the ideation and realisation of our films respectfully, considering our impacts on people and planet. Founded in 2019 by CEO/producer Denzil Monk, our films include BAFTA-winning director Mark Jenkin’s BFI/F4 backed Venice Biennale title ROSE OF NEVADA (2025) starring George MacKay and Callum Turner, BIFA-winning ENYS MEN (2022) and Christopher Morris’ award winning debut feature A YEAR IN A FIELD (2023). We take an ethical, regenerative, ecological and socially conscious approach to the work we make, and are committed to helping build an environmentally conscious and sustainable screen industry. We are a contributor to the UN Climate Change global collective Entertainment and Culture for Climate Action (ECCA), as well as promoting our own production activism. In 2023, Bosena was awarded the ‘Mark Duddridge Award for a Vision for a Sustainable Cornwall and IoS’. In 2025, ‘Denzil Monk’s Cornish Powerhouse’ Bosena was included in Screen International’s prestigious Brit 50 List under ‘ones to watch’ for the best film production companies operating in the UK. In 2026, Bosena was Certified as a B Corp, joining a worldwide community verified by B Lab to meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability, transforming the global economy to benefit all people, communities, and the planet. Our board currently comprises the sole company director Denzil Monk.

Prior to this Denzil was the Associate Producer on Mark Jenkin's BAFTA winning breakout BAIT.
Denzil is a Bard of Gorsedh Kernow, a commissioning Executive Producer at Screen Cornwall and is an active member of global collaborative initiative Entertainment and Culture for Climate Action (ECCA). Previous roles include Senior Lecturer in Film at Falmouth University (2007-2024), COO at digital distributor Cinegi (2016-20), CEO at Western Light Pictures (2013-17), Executive Producer at Dogbite Film Studio (2012-15), MD at awen productions CIC (2006-14), Senior Producer at Chew TV (2008-09), Executive Committee Member at Celtic Media Festival (2011-14) and Chair of Cornwall Film Festival (2006-09).
Amanda Pyne

Amanda has worked in film finance and distribution on US Studio and independent films for over 25 years.
In 2011 Amanda set up AP Media Ltd advising producers, financiers, broadcasters and sales agents on production finance, UK and international distribution deals, and managing royalties and recoupment. Clients include See-Saw Films, BBC Film, Film4, Channel 4, Protagonist Pictures, AI Film, Catalyst Global Media and independent UK & US producers.
In 2023 Amanda was appointed to the Board of Screen Cornwall.
Previously Amanda was a senior member of the Production Finance team at BFI and UK Film Council overseeing Lottery investment in new productions and managing a library of 500+ titles. Prior to that Amanda was Manager of International Royalty Income at Universal Pictures International and Focus Features, and a specialist video accountant at PolyGram. Before moving into film, Amanda was Record and Music Publishing Royalty Manager at Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Really Useful Group.
Of the hundreds of films worked on, highlights include Oscar winners I, Tonya, Hacksaw Ridge, The King’s Speech, Man On Wire and Brokeback Mountain.
Ben Bond
Askorrer Gweythresek | Executive Producer
Executive Producer, Ben Bond, has over fifteen years of experience working in independent feature films and television drama. As a producer, previous work includes feature films THE HUNGRY (Tiff 2017), SAY YOUR PRAYERS (2020) and THE DRIFTERS (2021) which he also directed. Most recently he served as executive producer for Bosena on ROSE OF NEVADA (Venice / TIFF 2025). He has written for BAFTA winning TV drama series SKINS, and the movie KILLING BONO for Paramount Pictures, and he is the executive producer and co-creator of WHISKY WARS, an original HETV drama series with director Marc Forster (A MAN CALLED OTTO, WORLD WAR Z). He's a fellow of Bristol University and writes poetry when he's not making films.
Rachel Clear Burton
Darbarer Askorrer | Assistant Producer
Rachel has a foundation in independent feature film and TV within the production department. Her credits include Mark Jenkin’s ROSE OF NEVADA (2025) and Andrea Arnold’s BIRD (2024). Rachel’s multi-award winning debut short film as Producer, UNDERBELLY (2022), won ‘Best Film’ and ‘Best Emerging Talent’ at BFI Future Film Festival 2023. She has since Produced a number of short films, screening at film festivals internationally; was Associate Producer for BFI NETWORK financed short PEN MARI (2025); and was one of four producers selected for the BFI NETWORK South West Beyond Shorts cohort 2025, which aims to elevate emerging filmmakers to make their first feature film.
Rachel works as Assistant Producer across the entire slate at Bosena, seeing projects through from development to completion. She works closely with Amanda, Impact Lead, to implement the ecosophical principles of Bosena to all projects.
Amanda Rawling
Ledya Effeyth | Impact Lead
Amanda has been part of Bosena since its inception. As Impact Lead she is responsible for developing Bosena’s impact strategy, and implementing sustainability, inclusivity and biodiversity planning, monitoring and reporting, focussing on practical solutions that meet Bosena’s core ecosophical principles.
Amanda has always worked in the creative industries, in film production, education and community settings, and as an artist runs her own business specialising in glass and metal work.
